Fast and short notes

Fast notes (options) are used to quickly create as many different options for the products as needed. It will still be the same product with one sale price, with only one item to be stocked out. Fast notes are printed on the receipt and the customer can see them.

The options are useful for distinguishing batches of beverages (shop) or food such as steaks (eating establishment). Enter the option in the same way as tags and then write and confirm them with DONE on the keyboard.

Example of using fast notes:
Add fast notes (variants) 122, 123 and 124 to the product Wine, which represent batches of individual bottles. When the sale takes place a dialog with a selection of variants (batches) will be displayed prior to charging for the product, and then afterward the product will be inserted in the order. You can use fast notes the same way to sell steaks. Create variants RARE, MEDIUM and WELL DONE. When the sale takes place, select how the customer wants his or her steak and insert the product in the customer’s account with this option.

If the product has no defined EAN code, the fast note (e.g. list of allergens) will be displayed in the product line of the open or parked order. Otherwise, the EAN code will be displayed in the product line instead of the fast note. The fast note will also be printed on the tax document under the product name and you will find it in the information item in the product preferences of the parked/created order.

The full description is only displayed in the product preferences as an additional piece of information for the manager. This description is not printed anywhere nor displayed to the crew.
